The Big 33
by Administrator on Jul.28, 2010, under General
I turn 33 on August 2. As opposed to feeling a sense of crisis when I turned 30, 31 and 32, I actually am feeling good about getting another year older. Two more years and I can run for president; afterall, can’t screw things up any worse than they already are, right?
Putting a couple finishing touches on the book I’ve been writing since December, re-writing my script and starting on two other writing projects. I am also the new assistant manager at a T-Mobile Lmtd. store here in West Hollywood and should be getting booked for some acting gigs in the coming days; so things are going just peachy.
Due to popular demand, Fone Smart! will not be going anywhere and am planning on a couple format changes for this site as a whole next week.
Peace.

Can’t Think of a Post Title
by Administrator on Jun.07, 2010, under General
In the past week I’ve had interviews with two other companies that sell Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile respectively and I am very excited about my prospects.
Probably will write a more substantive post later. Peace.
Professionalism: Is It Dead
by Administrator on Apr.26, 2010, under General
Spent the better part of two days calling people, leaving messages, etc., and no calls returned. My favorite has been arranging a time and place for a meeting, have the person call you five different times to change times and locations, only to cancel at the last minute.
Is it just me or is professionalism dead? I understand everyone is busy, but we live in a world of instant messaging, text messaging, etc., it is not to difficult to stay in touch with someone or plan better.
I Miss LA, Finished Script for Comedy/Drama Pilot, More…
by Administrator on Apr.21, 2010, under Bleidd Publishing, General, Writing
Been back in Springfield since April 9, and I gotta say that I really miss LA. Springfield does have a certain laid-back feel that I do appreciate; and perhaps, once I am done with whatever crazy dreams and schemes come by way out there, I may once again consider making Springfield my primary home. But I’ve been extremely bored since being “home,” and this big house that once was something I looked forward coming home to after a long day of work has somewhat become oppressive in a sense.
I have finished writing a script for a pilot comedy/drama about two young professionals who tire of their drab and boring lives in a certain midwestern town and head out west for fortune, fame and fun. Now, to sell it…which is going to be the “fun” part.
Currently working on a second episode as well as a horror story. Fone Smart! will be back on May 1st with a 1 year anniversary edition. Working on getting Blevins GenWeb back up and rolling. Busy, busy, busy.
Peace.
For a Limited Time Only
by Administrator on Apr.12, 2010, under General
I’ve been back in Springfield since early Friday morning. Took a three day bus journey from LA to here to more of the country. Aside from a few crazies that got on in Las Vegas, it was actually an ok trip. And while the ticker-tape parades thrown in my honor in Springfield and Gillespie by my legions of friends, fans and possible would be assassins were appreciated, they were not necessary.
Of course, that didn’t happen. But it was pretty nice that I was the guest of honor at two different cook outs by friends and my adoptive family in Springfield and Gillespie. The questions swirled: why did I leave, why did I not tell anyone and do I plan on moving back to Springfield. The answer to the latter question is simply, I don’t know. I’ve never been “happy” in Springfield; and I am absolutely loving my time in LA. But the only thing for sure, is nothing is for sure. I plan on heading back when tapings start up again, which could be a couple weeks or 1-2 months. Until then, I plan on actually trying to enjoy things in Springfield that I didn’t before.

Easter & Earthquakes
by Administrator on Apr.04, 2010, under General
First Easter in California. Had a little photoshoot today. Normally I write about the history of the holiday, its pagan origins, etc., but have decided to adopt a sort of live and let live sort of attitude today; there is already enough hate being spewed by individuals on the extreme left and extreme right to focus ones energies on whose holiday it truly is, etc. To my Christian, non-Christian and pagan friends, I wish you all a happy Easter.
A 7.2 hit Northern Mexico/Baja California, with aftershocks felt here in LA.
Miss Reading Some Old Springfield Blogs
by Administrator on Apr.03, 2010, under General, Writing
Browsing through the Spfldbloggers blog roll , and can’t help but notice that many of my favorite Springfield writers either no longer write or do so very sporadically. This is no slight towards the many talented writers in Springfield that are very active, but I really miss reading some of the older blogs that were popular a couple years ago.
I know first hand how writer’s block and burnout can get the best of a writer; my blog went down the proverbial tubes around the fall of 2007, hit rock bottom in 2008 and despite an honest attempt to get back in the game in 2009, I just felt something was missing at the time.
4th Month, Community Wraps
by Administrator on Apr.02, 2010, under Acting, General
Four months in LA babay! Last Thursday I got to see myself for the first time on national tv, on the show Community; great fun. Community wrapped last Friday (I think tapings resume late summer, and hope to be on the set again then).
Last Wednesday and Thursday I had a blast on the set: got to speak with the director and told him how much I have enjoyed the experience and then engaged in a conversation with the great Chevy (after kinda stalking him) at crafty:
PB: Good evening Mr. Chase. Excuse me, gonna steal some chocolate.
Mr. Chase: (After giving me a stare that told me he was on the verge of beating me within an inch of my life with a toothpick) No problem. Where the hell is the trash-can?
PB: Right over there Mr. Chase. Have a great evening.
Mr. Chase: Yeah, you too.
All in all, everyone I have met on the set of Community (the principal actors, directors, ADs, etc.), save for some background ppl with attitudes, were class acts & I have really enjoyed the experience.
Wednesday night had the opportunity to attend a breast cancer awareness event in Beverly Hills; unfortunately didn’t get to see or meet Stephen Baldwin as the smell of pretention that permeated from some in attendance was nauseating & I left. Got to get a picture with wrestler Al “Mr. Outrageous” Burke.
I do have a new Resumes, etc. section up: various resumes, letters of recommendation and commendation. Lot of projects that I am still working on, wish there were more hours in the day. That does it for this update. As always, check me out on Facebook for pics, info, status updates, etc.
